If you guys still have the translation, what would you think about maybe doing a joint project if everyone involved agrees? That way your translation doesn't have to go to waste nor does Bongo's work on the game?

I'm willing to at least discuss the possibility of working together, but I'll need to see if Bongo' can work with our script format without resorting to a copy/paste approach.

Well, the project is more or less dead until the programmer returns, which in all honesty might not even happen.

Incidentally, the reason why Traverse has so much text is because it's an open world RPG. There's a ton of possibilities to encounter and the game would probably be a @#$%& to test for that reason alone.

I knew I saw this game being translated somewhere. Google could not find anything other than YnT. Garrett, who is th coder and what is his problem? I bet he had fun figuring out those damn relative pointers in all that event code. :)

It does not have to be a joint project. Its not like I did a ton of work. Most of my text files contain no pointers but all contain redirection info which I had to do with Xak and Silva Saga 2. The compression routine(s) have not be done either. So if I could help you guys I guess I could try.

How is Sansara Naga 2 coming along?

Hi Bongo', so I take it that you wouldn't mind Implicid adding your name in brackets to the title "BS Golf Daisuki! - Out of Bounds Club ~ Untranslated *script translated, needs hacking support*" under the non-RPG category?

Lol. We shall see. Working on the compression code
For now

EDIT:
So far, every thing decompressed. All text is in Tilemap form.
Pretty straight forward.

I assume this title is now translated much to your happiness! The news just came out of the blue on this site's front page for everybody to see for themselves! Now I understand why Taskforce had that new avatar relating to the anime this game is based on. Taskforce, you teased us with a clue for this non-RPG game within that avatar. Impressive, most impressive...
Though, Implicid, I think the title is accurately spelled out as "Kishin Douji Zenki: Batoru Raiden". That's what I've seen in my Google search. But, ah, I used your title and found this Youtube title with a description saying that "The game is also known as "Kishin Douji Zenki - Batoru Raiden"".

What a stealthy release! Congrats guys. I'll be sure to check it out!

I updated and changed the non-RPG list around a little bit to be more consistent with the RPG section. I think it reads better this way. There are many non-RPG games in the SFC library that deserve some english attention still.

I was able to contact LostTemplar a few days ago and his job leaves with him with very time for this hobby. I wasn't able to get a definite answer out of him regarding the status of the project though, but he hasn't responded back to me. There's a VWF for the main dialogue and I'm guessing that insertion for most of the text is in place too. He did mention that he could zip up all his project files for me. Anyway, I don't think there's really an ideal solution right now.

Everybody, a heads up. Today I've found this new thread made by none other than the whiz romhacker ddstranslation (Of Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei and Romancing SaGa translations' fame). It's for FE4. Yes, that's right. The title is: "Fire Emblem 4: Genealogy of the Holy War Re-translation (Project Naga)"! Also did you notice the dialogue texts in the screenshots? They're 3 lines in a box! Fire Emblem: Awakening had only 2 lines per box usually.
He's gonna pickup the romhacking activities for this game after MP2E left off due to being unable to go further at hacking into the game ROM. The translator and maintainer of Project Naga is the holy-sounding Bookofholsety, whom many people have commented to have done an excellent job of translating EVERYTHING within the game and fixing many things from the old patch. He'd spent 2 years translating it! All his translation in text format can still be seen at his new blog and anyone can check them and offer critique or tweaks. Though some people in third-party sites are not necessarily happy with some of the character names he's chosen but I don't mind that since I am not even aware of them at all! And if you check his old status page about his translation he doesn't seem to care about those people's opinions at all! He has his reasons. Which I say is good on him.

Bookofholsety's new and nice blog is here.
Contents of Bookofholsety's translation for FE4.
Bookofholsety's outdated status page on FE4 and FE5 (Yes, that's correct. He'll continue onto FE5 after the full FE4 patch is done!). When I read someone somewhere else mentioning the lovely logos, that's when I noticed them here. They look pretty sharp! Incidentally Bookofholsety mentioned here that MP2E came up with the 'Project Naga' name.
The fandom's lamenting over the names' spelling being used in the latest translation... Though this thread with the relevant links is almost kinder about it. Bookofholsety is even in there, including his own sarcastic replies to others' opinions of his work!
If you want, check out this huge, HUUUUUGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEE name chart for FE4, and their mentions in FE 4 & FE 5!

History of fan-translations of the various Fire Emblem games... 8-) It's very cool, even in including a name chart for each unlocalized game!

Off-Tangent:
The real Naga Project... Look at those lovely temple ruins! Will Lara Croft go there? ;) :ugeek:
