毒 - Poison
麻 - Hemp ???
気 - Qi ???

These are three symbols that rep ailments out of battle.
I only know what the top one means. Any help would be appreciated!

毒 - Poison
麻 - Hemp/Cannabis/Linen (Could the character be "Stoned" or "High" or "Rocking his balls off" hehe. Edit: paralysis; palsy; numbness; stupor
気 - Spirit/Mind/Heart (If it's a status ailment, it looks like it's something that affects mood... Moody, Depressed, Down, Blue, Sad, Anxious) Edit: faint, swoon

Hopefully someone with better ability will come along soon ;)

Thanks for the response, people. I looked at the FAQ and didn't see any ref to those kanji. Though I did scan really quickly in my search but found nothing that stood out.

Looking at those and considering how status effects seem to behave in the game,
I'd say poison, numb and cheer would be good approximations
(there is a specific ability that has with war cries and ups attack).

Depending on the length avaliable, I will try to come up with adequate synonyms

How about Rally. Short and more of a war term. Rally the troops.

I'd make icons for those ailments if screen space is tight, which it probably is.

Good idea, TF. If short words fit, then we'll go with that; otherwise, we'll need your talent to develop icons, as Garrett suggested. If push comes to shove we'll use initials and make a proper note in the readme to better orient players.

The space will only fit a 16x16 tile. So either Icons, or I try and realign the 16x16 to be a 32x8 linear tile. Easier to squishy tile those.

Looking at my manual scan, they do seem to be Poison (どく), Paralysis (まひ) and Faint (きぜつ).
