Another random poll by me.
As a rule I'm not into puzzles but if they have some sort of uniqueness I tend to get hooked,
so I wanted to know how you guys felt about the genre.
The list is rather short as I don't know many games of the kind, but several listed I happen to like.

Well, baku baku animal was fun on the Saturn. And you'll call me crazy, but the best SNES puzzler was Sailor Moon Fuwa Fuwa Panic. I know, show sucked but that game was extremely fun. I don't why I decided to play it, but once I did, I couldn't put it down.

I could never get into Mahjong, Drakee, maybe its too brainy for me haha.
I know both games you mentioned TF, and that probably makes me crazy too because I like them, just couldn't
remember 'em when rendering the poll choices.

I don't know what a Mahjong wicket is.
But the only Mahjong related RPG I know of was Dora! Dora! Dora! (not related to the explorer :P ) for Famicom.

The old dos mahjongg by Nels Anderson with the the custom pop can tiles, I wasted many an hour playing that back in the day :) I still have that sucker on my PC (heck I even have it on my droid, but it don't work so well on my droid. Dosbox needs some work on droid) At one time I was even making a buildings tileset, too bad I never finished it :(

It's rather like a chess wicket. In several RPGs - Lufia-II might have been one - a player had to solve chess-like puzzles to advance. Except in one particular game, a player had to learn enough mahjong to attain a certain score and advance. Was it Slayers? Or Mystic Ark? Sheesh! I'm brain-dead this week!

I don't remember any Mahjong like puzzles in MA or Slayers, unless somehow Mahjong is the core mechanic behind that panel puzzle involved in accessing a certain dungeon in the latter, after meeting Amelia.
