It''s like the old US/Soviet Space Race. Soviets got into space first. The U. S. went the furthest. China invented pork noodles. The Japanese copy became world famous. As for Granny, the large corporation put her noodle shop out of business, so she retired to her own little nook!

Heh, sorry, I wasn't trying to demand you do anything. Just my personal musings about what I found funny.

That four screen string is in the game to stay at the eastern lamian shop in Handan. It's your tribute, Hausen, and the game does introduce mind-boggling whimsy without any help from us!
Spoiler! :
Following a coming trigger event, the hero will return to one of these shops and enjoy a conversation with an actual marsupial panda eating lamian, so naturally, as long as dragon hermit sages may ride spirit or dragonfly clouds through the sky, purchase taxi tickets in 300 B. C., and shoot out nine suns with an archery set, anyone from anywhere may "logically" materialize in Shiji Hero Legend!
And I may finally have a lead on where to search for Granny. After the large corporation bought out her patent rights to lamian, the court slapped her with a gag order on the recipe, so she retired to one of those inaccessible islands up the Yellow River torrent where a Japanese ninja team couldn't reach her so easily and totally appropriate the pork noodle brand by eliminating the inventor and main witness to the truth!
