3X3 Eyes up to V0.16 beta, 100% playable in English - 3rd draft, mostly bug free - no crashes. Going well, fixing things as we go.

Shiji Hero Legend (Shiki Eiyuuden) - because I have nowhere else to report progress right now and we haven't officially announced , I am posting this here - up to a V0.12 beta, 100% playable in English, 2nd draft - mostly bug free - no crashes.

Could use a dedicated translation specialist to handle the Japanese in Shiji Hero Legend. I will take care of Chinese conversions, and this project will go must quicker. As it is, SHL is going pretty well, but dialogue space is chinchy.

Shiji Hero Legend is also a HARD game - puzzles and some battles, but it's a SUPER game! I need a "no-encounter" cheat! I keep wandering into areas with extra strong monsters because it's a fairly wide-open game (with special treasures to find and sometimes special monsters guarding them that kick your tail in one blow)!

Me too!! But when you recruit Jing he has a no-encounter field spell. Lin also learns it - he's actually got MP to use it more than twice - after you kill the fox boss and speak with lake hermit Zhuangzi.

I wonder if you have Shiki's guidebook at hand, not the game manual but the 110 page strat guide? I don't mind scanning sections of it.... incase you need to find a way outta uber-strong monster territories in a pinch.. :mrgreen:

Good to hear of swell progress on 3x3 Eyes as well!

I have the debugger enabled and may have the encounter cheat. I will have to check.

3X3 is a bit bumpy at times, but Bongo's crucial fix to the battle system is fueling the story along. Already been to five countries. I am finally enjoying battles. No countryside yet - just towns and dungeons, but this works.

The game's features are falling into place. The story doesn't offer a lot of "city romps" like its counterpart manga episodes. Action takes place in the dungeons. The scenes shoot between taking care of business, reporting into "Ling-Ling, preparing for a new mission, gathering information, and plunging into a new mission.

Ling-Ling is always saying, "Hurry, hurry, hurry!" so off I go.

What did he do? I didn't find the battle system itself that bad, it was just the stupid XP glitches near the end of the game that make the game almost impossible to finish without relying on other glitches or using cheat codes.

At my first battle in Greece, the screen froze as soon as the first enemy appeared. This was due to the insertion of the English. What I believe he did was find some way to re-direct the excessive bytes that the existing routine wouldn't contain. Presently, we don't have the English attributes inserting at level-up, but that doesn't stop advancing the project. If technical glitches occur late in the game, maybe we can smooth those later on down the road.

I know three people on this planet who will "get" this graphic instantly. It's in a cafe in Olympia, Greece. A customer inside there likes the coffee. I would love to leave this in there, intact. What goes better with coffe than a doughnut?! And Olympia is a "touristy" location of haute culture. People come there from all over - likely craving something from back home after a while!
