Post subject: | A couple of G.O.D. maps... |
While playing the game, I made some crude maps for a couple of the dungeons. No, don't worry, I'm not sharing those crude drawings (Lord knows I couldn't draw if my life depended on it). I made a mental note to revisit these dungeons and see if I could make better maps. Here, then, is the result: Spoiler, in case anyone reading hasn't gotten there yet in the game: Spoiler! :
I double checked everything and it looks good. If anyone does see anything off, please let me know, though. The dungeons in G.O.D. are not that complicated and are easily navigated, but I figured it would be nice to have a graphical representation of exactly where each treasure chest is and what it contains, plus the "Entrance" and "Exit" are clearly marked as well. I'll see about doing maps for Mothership Omega and Mu later in the week. I mainly made these maps to see if I could...I've seen other maps like this before, so I've always been curious about trying my hand at it. Now that I have...well, let's just say it's tedious, and it's not something I'll be doing on a regular basis It would be pointless for me to just archive them for myself, so if anyone else can use them, have at them. |

ooohhhhh... can i post these on the GOD sanctuary also...? would be nice to have a full game map set but i understand how tedious these map making can be, that world map i created from scratch for 'Shiki Eiyuuden' and the Zelda maps i created for the Nes Zelda 1 game took me ages :/ not to mention working on that world map for SSMS-II .. removing and editing text off the map and removing creases.. LOL! |

Here's the download link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/fov4ua0n ... s.zip/file *End Edit Yeah, go for it! As for the rest of the maps...hmm...there's not really that many dungeons in the game. Let's see: Spoiler! :
I *think* that's most of them (not counting Seikan Tunnel or Channel Tunnel, since, you know, all you do is run left or right to get through them). If there's any other area you can think of, let me know. If you're not in a hurry and can wait, I can make these maps for you. I just need a day off from work to crank out 2-3 maps, especially since there's some really small dungeons and those won't take long at all (I think Atlantis was the worst one, as far as size goes). Yeah, it's tedious, but it's not so bad if I only do 2-3 at a time, then take a break and do something else No promises, but I'll take a look at making a world map also (since that would be cool as well). |

AWESOME! I can wait.. everything is on hold really for writing guides, my website etc for another 4 or 5 weeks and then I finish my course until September, it's been a bit of a slow drag this year with the tutors all being moved to a higher level of the same course, which resulted in the course being a total mess and us ending up with tutors that didn't even have a clue what the difference between a Serif and San-serif font was so was marking everyone wrong in exams for it, these were meant to be I.T. Tutors mind you. Anyway, looking forward to the extra maps and again will give credits for your work. |

Okay then, I'll start on these as soon as I can, and I'll just update the spoilered list in my 2nd post as I complete each map (along with download links, of course). Wow...sounds like you've got your own problems with classes. Well, unfortunately, it seems like there's ALWAYS something, but hang in there (September's right around the corner). I'll post an update a little later. |

Final update! Got the last three maps done, plus an extra one I decided to throw together at the last minute. Update time! Two more maps, plus a minor correction (see spoiler for details). Looks like there's only three more maps left, and they're all meteorites. Good thing they're all short...well, most of them, anyway. And yet another update...two new maps added. Yet another update, with two new maps (getting closer to finishing). It's update time once again, this time with two new maps. Another update, with 4 new maps. Updated again with new links. I've updated my 2nd post with new links. Spoiler! :
As usual, if anyone sees anything that looks off, let me know. |

Amazing work Bwah17 .. what I will do is wait for the rest to be done and then put them all into one .zip folder and upload it to my website then and have it as a map pack I know a LOT of people will be interested in having these area maps so i know your mapping work won't go unnoticed by others.. good luck in finishing the rest off. |

Okay, last update...I wasn't really going to do the Tsukubane Mountain (Present) map, since there's only two differences between the past and present map (in the present, there's now an NPC where you can rest/save the game, and there's two steps missing on the last stairway up (so I can only guess what's going on up there, lol). For two small differences, it's hard to justify making this map, but I started working on it, and before I knew it I was done. This last map turned out...just okay (it looks fine, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist and don't like settling for "good enough"). In any case, this map isn't really needed, since it's practically a palette swap duplicate of the past map. Oh, and note that the items on Tsukubane Mountain (Present) will only be there if you left them there in the past (that is, if you collected everything in the past, there won't be any items there in the present). A few days ago I took a look at the game to see if it would be possible to make a whole-world map...long story short: it is possible, but it would require way too much time and effort. As much as I'd like to do a world map, I'm going to have to pass on that. My respects to any brave soul who attempts it, though With that out of the way, all the maps are done now, and all their respective links are up as well. Check them out when you get a chance and if you see anything that looks off or requires correction let me know. I'll keep the main files for a while, in case I have to edit them. |

It's been a while since I uploaded the G.O.D. maps, and, at the time, it didn't occur to me to also upload them all in a single .zip file. Anyway, I'm a little older and a little wiser now (maybe, lol), so I've uploaded them all in a single .zip file, that way anyone interested in them doesn't have to click on 25 separate links. Here's the download link for the .zip file with ALL the maps: https://www.mediafire.com/file/fov4ua0n ... s.zip/file I realize most board regulars here at D-D have already downloaded them, but this is mainly intended for the occasional new player. I've also updated the above post to reflect this addition. |
