Matt, upgraded Script and Misc files have been sent via your MMR e-mail address. The first sets we sent last night were in an unstable format. If you can open a file, save it, and it does not "scramble" when you re-open it in Notepad, it's a good one.

The insertion system is very bare bones. It will load some game dialogue only, uncompressed.

No menu support is in place.

Hey! I wanted to keep this quiet but I'm bad about keeping secrets. Just wanted to let folks know I've finally worked up the motivation to get cracking on this script. I'm at about 10% complete so far. Sorry I don't have a more exciting number to report, but I'll check in now and then as I progress. Hopefully progress will be brisk.

10% is exciting to me buddy. Glad to hear you're making progress. Thanks for translating it.

YAY! Script work. Speaking of script work, has anyone seen the folks that were at YNT Translations!?I know they were doing ONI-2.I ask because I found some stuff I did to the game a while back. This can turn out to be a possible project in the future for us... MAYBE. :)

It looks to me like YNT died... :(
I didn't know anyone from that group, so I'm not sure whom to contact. Oni looks pretty good, though... So... Maybe... ;)

This brings back memories. I never worked on it but RPGone was working on the first of the two SFC ones I think, Kishin. I don't think it was ever finished. I assume you're talking about Bakumatsu though.

According to Pennywise it sounds like YnT is dead. I'm pretty sure I offered to translate the Kenshin game on PSX for them, though I forget whatever came of that. Other than that I had no interaction with them that I know of. From what I could tell on the archived version of YnT's site on archive.org it doesn't look like they were too far along on Oni 2.

Where have you guys been? YnT has been dead for a few years now.

I could probably snag you guys a translator for the Oni game, but he'd want complete control over the script.

YnT had some pretty nice games that they planned to work on. I still hope Arabian Nights makes it out some day since it seemed so close to being finished.
