I think since the snes is the system ranking one of the highest, if not highest in regards to "most rpgs untranslated for a system" and is for sure one of the best systems for rpgs in general (psx being the best is up for debate however), a list is in order for "Top 5 rpgs for snes still without an English version."

What are your top 5 snes rpgs you would like to see translated? How about another list with your "Top 5 overall" (if you would also like, but please also keep focus on snes rpgs too).

Tied 5. Traverse Starlight & Prairie
Tied 5. Chaos seed
4. Record of the Lodoss War
3. Ladystalker
2. Ys 5
1. Far East of Eden

I think once these games are available to the English speaking west (and hopefully someday the west in general) we will have all the best the snes has/had to offer. I truly think there are 6-7 gems left.

But what are your top 5?

Overall, my top five best untranslated RPGs list would be:

1. Record of Lodoss War (SNES)
2. Rejoice! - Aretha Oukoku no Kanata (SNES)
3. Haou Taikei - Ryuu Knight (SNES)
4. Shining Force Gaiden (GG)
5. Star Ocean Blue Sphere (GBC).

More or less in that general order. Record of Lodoss War is being worked on by D-D, AGTP has Rejoice and Star Ocean Blue Sphere covered, leaving only Ryuu Knight and the first Shining Force Gaiden game without anyone currently working on them.

Edit: And now that I think about, the three SNES Fire Emblem games don't really have a proper complete translation yet either except for maybe Monshou no Nazo, but even that one isn't really quite finished either (there's a few untranslated strings and script/text bugs)...

Edit: Oh yes, I forgot to mention Ys V as well. I probably should have also added that one on the list. It sure would be nice if both the original game and Expert version get translated.

I think the first SFG is untranslated because the Sega CD version is a remake.

True, but the Sega CD version is considerably different than the GG ones (story and character wise). Not to mention, the game size is a lot larger. Compare the 512 KB GG version to the 60+ MB Sega CD remake... You know what I mean? Well, I hope it does get translated.

Recca, you're derailing this thread. SNES games only ;)

Let's see.

Far East of Eden Zero - no brainer
Bushi Seiryuuden
Oni 1, 2
Chaos Seed
Romancing SaGa 1,2,3 - proper translations of all 3 games
