New topic, same stuff and then some.

Goemon 2- Will be releasing an update patch on the 31st, which should hopefully be the last release.

Jajamaru- Will be releasing this on the 31st. This game is what you could consider an above average Zelda-ish clone with a good story. Not too long as it only took me about a day to beat it. Currently in the process of making minor edits to the script, which should be done before the 31st. Hacking pretty much finished and script completely inserted.

Contra (J)- Recently got a new project. I recently found out that the very old translation patch for this game never translated a secret message, so I figured I'd start my own translation for it. What little text there is has been retranslated and I'm currently creating my insertion files. Hope to finish this by the 31st for release. Overall, the previous translation for this game feels a like truncated to me, but it's really not that important in the grand scheme of things. Contra isn't a story-driven game. Incidently, this project is kind of like Twinbee 3.

(No Contra page yet)

Captain Silver- This game is just terrible, but it might not be the actual game's fault, just the people who ported it to the NES. Incidently, whoever coded (or ported the code) this game did a terrible job. It's the dumbest stuff I've ever seen.

Mad City- This was one of those games that was kind of altered for its US release. The official translation looks pretty faithful, but they removed the bad ending you had the option of getting. Awaiting on translation of the script and need to hack that scrolling intro, which will probably be a pain in the ass.

I want to play some of this one as soon as I can grab some break time.

Sorry about accidentally deleting it before Garrett.

Spent the last week or so hacking Contra to pieces and I'm pretty done with it except for the title screen.

Wish I had something to release for Halloween, but I've been slacking with a few other projects.

Intro and misc. text looking good Garrett, but for some odd reason the title screen didn't load for me.
I was never much of a fan of these run-and-gun type of games but I wish you the best of luck with the project.

That's because it isn't done yet or even designed yet :P I could just put up the Japanese title screen, but the patch is almost done. I used to play either Contra or Super C when I kid on the NES. I had great fun playing it. Also enjoyed Lifeforce, another Konami game.

Took me a while to go through and take the time to polish up the text, but Jajamaru is now done.

I've got my first full-blown RPG translation in the works and have already accomplished some hacks to help the english translation along. Maybe an end of the year release if everything goes smoothly. Contra should be next though.

This is really fine work! Your graphics remind me of the time we worked on Destiny of an Emperor-II. I really enjoy good NES games and am looking forward to playing it. Shoot, maybe even Draken will try it out. Kudos to you and aishsha!

Thanks Garrett, I'll try out Jajamaru sometime after I finish Gideon's Holy Umbrella. Maybe I missed it, but what full blown RPG are you working on?

It's a secret. Although it's about time I worked on one, but I'm working on a text-adventure game, which is probably the same length as an RPG. Other projects will be taking priority though. Maybe a do a FDS translation, which I've been on the verge of doing or maybe hack a GB game or two, but I don't know the system very well.
