I'm fairly confident this will get buried here and stay here, so I can post this little thing I've been working on. I know you folks at D-D will like it.

So yeah, this is the first ever Oni game and it's been hacked and translated. Translation needs to be edited and all the major hacking work is finished from what I can tell. The rest of it is finding menus that need expansion etc. The plan is to do the entire GB series and I've already looked into 2, but I need a decompressor for that one as the main script is compressed.

It reminds me of the game Great Greed a little bit. Is it just one person you control or do you eventually get a party?

I don't know, but I think there's just one person to control in the game. Don't think it's setup for more than one.

Did you not get my e-mail? Also, Oni-2 is about to go "backburner" status. If you ever talk to your buddy again, can you let them know I really appreciated the help we did get. It was a great job and I was really hoping we could work together. Hope all is well with them. :)

Sorry, forgot to get back to you.

My friend is working on the editing of this translation. Waiting to hear back from him when he gets back about the updated files I sent him. I'll be sure to bring it up when he responds to me.

Good to hear you've made good progress. I await playing them. :)

I'm guessing D-D long ago dropped plans to work on 4?
(it looks like the Onis are less common games, so I guess it's good I won 5 CIB pretty cheaply on ebay some time ago?)

When I say Oni 2 i am talking about the second Snes installment. Is that part 4 that you speak of?

He's talking about Oni 4 for the GB, which was a project by Akujin and later absorbed into Magic Destiny. The great things about all these GB Oni games is that I can expand the ROMs for all of them and not have to worry about space.

Ninja Rahoi, my latest translation. Wacky Japanese RPG chock full of puns, jokes and other silliness.
