I can't get why everyone complains about PSX loading on this game.

I played it, back in the day, and didn't see anything so strange about loading times, it was a very pleasant experience.


Its not the loading time per se, just annoying minute pauses whenever a unit is defeated.
There is a small freeze, the death voice plays, then it unpauses.
It gets on my nerves that's all.
From all I've observed, this sounds like a psychological thing. Maybe a spinning ROM sound or something triggers this perception, because some guy on another site says he played the two games side-by-side, timed transitions precisely, and recorded no difference.

April fool thing? Nah, Gid would never joke about something as serious as a release! If he did, we're releasing Burning Heroes V1.00 at 11:59 P. M., hee-hee...!

I know this is off topic but Bill, did you get the condensed version of CRV10's Slayers reports?
just asking to make sure our email communication is in working order.

When you've launched as many translations as I have, the term "just another" can be applied to releases you don't care quite so much about. Tactics is one such, oddly enough. Which is weird because a lot of work went into it, but I just can't get fired up about it the way some people can.

For those of you who *do* care, the real patch will be up by Monday latest, although those of you with sufficient ASM skillz could probably rewire the tilemap conversion code for the alphabet to get it back to regular English and not Al Bhed. The release window (so to speak) is a function of a busy work schedule over the next couple of days.

Wow. I'd have suspect maybe you jumbled the font. I'd like to play, but I'm fine waiting.
(which I probably could've just done when I did an Al Bhed hack of SMB1 a few years ago)

Heh, this was such a tease... Well, I'm looking forward to seeing the actual release on Monday. :)
