DoubleDvideogames started a thread on this board asking everyone what their top 5 SNES RPGs still untranslated were. The last post was well over a year ago and a lot has happened since then. The snes titles being worked on by DD, Gideon, and Nightcrawler are in good hands and should see the light of day at some point.

So having said that let's make another "name your top #" but, make this a little more interesting. With the number of mainstream or popular SNES titles shrinking, I'm sure this will make you think a little more plus the results might be a little surprising.

List your top SEVEN SNES games (not just RPGs) that are not currently being worked on by these groups or are not close to the finish line by others (Romancing Saga 1 and 3 are almost done and come to mind) and remain untranslated to the public.

I will take the first stab.

1. BS Treasure Conflix
2. Tadaima Yuusha Botsuuchuu Okawari
3. Ganbare Goemon 4
4. Gokinjo Boukentai
5. Schbibinman Zero
6. Super Famicom Wars
7. Fire Emblem Geneaolgy of Holy-War

Come on guys, tell everyone what's out there that we're still missing out on with the SNES!

I played the Fire Emblem game you mentioned in English. From what I recall it was more or less translated. Its certainly the most unique of the Fire Emblems having battlefields of a much greater scale.

As for games still to be translated, I'm not sure if I can come up with 7. The ones that come to my mind are Glory of Heracles 4, Far East of Eden, Romancing Saga, G.O.D., Shell Monsters 2 and Metal Max 2

Holy crap your right! I thought the Fire Emblem Geneaolgy of Holy-War project was abandoned but it's still going and almost complete! http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.p ... 94&page=17
They should really submit those patches to RHDN.

So I guess I broke my own rule then. :P

Let me start over.

1. BS Treasure Conflix
2. Tadaima Yuusha Botsuuchuu Okawari
3. Ganbare Goemon 4
4. Gokinjo Boukentai
5. Schbibinman Zero
6. Super Famicon Wars
7. FEoEZ (unclear if Byuu is still working on it)

Utpaladin, thanks for trying but the games you listed minus FEoEZ are being worked on by the groups listed above. The point of this thread is to list more obscure or not necessarily super popular SNES games that still haven't gotten solid translation treatment. I think it would be fun because you have to think more. Remember, it's not just RPGs either. It could be any SNES game.

Sorry, I am rpg centric and generally, action rpg at that. So these are all rpgs, haha.

In no order:

Ladystalker (which I guess AG is working on)
Far East of Eden Zero (no one that I know of is working on this absolute gem, I might try to take up rom hacking just to see this!! LoL)
Bounty Sword (no translation in works)
Rejoice: Aretha (I guess AG has this one too, crossing fingers)
Traverse Starlight & Prairie (No translator and probably the TOP one without a translator)
SMT .....if (AG has this one and is pretty far along I guess)
Xak (my wildcard entry)
