Who says you shouldn't be using ZSNES, you just shouldn't be using it for all games, I use it all the time :) In fact, I'm testing Minerva in it right now.

Sure, you're free to use whatever you like, that's your choice, but from a testing-standpoint, it definitely should NOT be your go-to emulator, for the simple reason that it is buggy and can make the game display/act in ways that it won't act in other, more-accurate emulators (or on real systems). Don't forget what happened with our Mystic Ark release... Text wouldn't display in any other emulator except for Zsnes... Also, Zsnes does not display G.O.D.'s dialog box correctly.

If, though, the game plays flawlessly in Zsnes, then why not use it, right? You just have to really careful and make sure you have others testing with better emulators to catch things that Zsnes may not.

Yep, that is why I also give everything a quick spin on multiple emulators before release.

Looks like SNES9x is going to get a really major update soon. I guess that's one more good thing that stems from the recent TMZ release, or perhaps it's just a coincidence. 8-) Either way, I like using that emulator a lot, and it's certainly quite good for testing. Since you're playing PM using ZSNES, I'll probably go with SNES9x when the time comes, to make sure all's fine on that front. :)

Wondering if this works on the SNES classic or in Retroarch for the Classic?

If you're curious about specific emulators and such, keep an eye on the thread at RHDN. Folks seem to be discussing this there. http://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php?topic=23162.0

The Devil takes notes from Lina Inverse? That sounds about right.

I've worked on a few games that don't work in ZSNES but work in newer emulators. (bugs that happen even with unmodified ROMs)
Not something I'd look into fixing. :D
