Hi again. I'll copy a part of my first
post on this forum in many months (due to focusing on retro video game research at DC & RHDN, I think some of you do know of my activities over there. Still a LOT to do!) down here below, regarding how to play TMZ and the additional English-translated packaging materials (Digital files):

Also for everybody that wants an easy way to boot up Tengai Makyou Zero with the English patch and graphics files in an emulator,
DougRPG has posted a couple links for a
modified snes9x build (Compatible with TMZ) and
older bsnes variant (
v0.87). One more:
DougRPG and some other users in the same forum thread also recommended
Bsnes-Plus v073-3 for this game. Because it has a screenshot capture function, video filters, and lots of features (and back-porting of improvements from later bsnes versions).
I also read a
rumour by another user in a forum thread for that game's translation project that there's a WIP snes v1.55 version in the works and that may include support for running TMZ with the added graphics files (.xml or .bml files.
They have to be put in the same folder as the original ROM & renamed to that ROM's filename.).
The translated manual in digital files alone is amazing. See
this post to download it and other translated materials in digital formats.
These links, especially those digital packaging files are kept here so that there's an easy way for people here to track down those download links and grab the files in case you don't have them or lost them.
I also wanted to add that after reading further replies in the big RHDN thread on that TMZ game's translation project that there are a number of other emulators besides the 3 examples mentioned above that can or will soon be able to play TMZ properly:
- snes9x GX (SNES emulator on Wii console)
- RetroArch (Also good for Xbox 360/PS3)
- SNES Classic Mini (Yes, apparently this is true! There's a GitHub page that hosts the codes/files for several emulators to be installed and played on that little tribute console!)
