I love DQ6 because its awesome roksorz!
Haha seriously though, the whole time travel system was rather novel to a DQ game, plus there is loads to be done
aside tiny medal hunts and the traditional fare. It borrows monster taming from DQ5 but there is also a class system.
Overall it just felt well executed, even though the plot itself is not uncommon, its told in an immersive manner.
Lastly the protagonist is arguably the coolest among DQ heroes, so there.

I picked DQ8, probably my favorite overworld to explore and while no Dragon Quest seems to have a detailed story, this one had a lot of little moments that I liked.


Winston Churchill in response to forming an alliance with the Soviet Union during World War 2:
If Hitler invaded Hell I would make at least a favorable reference to the devil in the House of Commons
