| I'm working on a futuristic space war game and hoping to find a font with a slight techno feel, without loosing clarity. It doesn't have to be ready-made, just referring me to a game with such a font would be welcome. All techno-like fonts I've found so far don't work well with the 8x16 max size constraints. | |

| You might check out my Princess Minerva font in the new post, it looks a bit techy. Beyond that, I really don't know. | |

| Check the font in Shadow Brain or Lagrange Point for the NES perhaps? Also, the futuristic sections from Live-a-Live could do the trick. Dunno if they'll be good enough as far as the size goes, though. | |

| Thank you both, I'll check these out. The sci-fi military setting makes me feel I should aim for something a bit angular like the printout on an old computer screen. So far, I haven't found anything better than generic 'clean' look similar to Arial. | |

| Might look at the block fonts in one of the older threads here. | |

| I've been checking these fonts out. So far the Block-Font and LiveALive look the most promising considering all factors. Unfortunately, this game requires a 2bit font with all the letters stacked single-file on top of each other. There's quite a bit of manual processing to see what the final product would look like in game. Another question, I'm guessing the dat file fonts posted here in a standard SNES format. Is there a specific TileMolestor filter that will display them properly? The Nintendo tile systems are foreign to Playstation graphics so I'm not very familiar with their basic format (ie BPP, linear/planar etc). | |

| Well, I use yy-chr to deal with fonts. But I do not know if it can do anything for Playstation. yy-chr can actually copy paste fonts that are less colors into a new file with more colors. | |

| Thank you Taskforce, I got the font converted properly using yy-chr. The internal structure of those dat graphics still eludes me though. I looked at them in a hex editor and the the data doesn't seem to match what I would expect. Oh well, I don't have to understand as long as yy-chr does. | |
