Yeah, I recall the female character has a whip and the male guy was like Strider. Probably Psycho Dream. It was a pretty neat game.

And the winner is...

Sailor Moon Super S: Floating Panic (fuwa fuwa panic)

Which has something to do with the letters S&M (I never told you to put your minds in the gutters folks)

And you ARE cutting wind (inside the balloons).

:)

 Well, that gave me a chuckle. Psycho Dream definitely doesn't have as much script. Time to buckle down and give this S&M a shot. 8-)

Wow :o , you're a genius with your use of the terms "S&M" and then the 'whip' & 'cutting wind' with it - it's led the others into a risque world! What a brilliant misdirection! I was hoping for a Sailor Moon at first but didn't see any requested title under Implicid's list nor even at Datacrystal, much to my amazement! So I put it in the back of my mind never to be brought up again! LOL. So yeah I went with my other research and other people's theories here. There are 10 unique S&M (Sorry!) licensed games on the SFC/SNES and so far only 4 have been fan-translated fully into English including D-D's latest patch. It turns out that there's a direct sequel to this puzzler too!

It is very nice that your team is covering a nice variety of genres for the SNES console! And the good news is that I do like them all!

Good work getting another game done but I remember calling that one of the worst puzzle games I've played. :P (or maybe it was the sequel) Like, it just flooding my screen to destroy me whenever it felt like it. :(

The sequel wasn't nearly as fun, but this first one is a blast to play. Especially as a 2 player game with a buddy. If you really gave it a chance and figured out the mechanics of how to bury your opponent in balloons, you'd probably like it. The key is, the more balloons of a single color you pop at the same time, the more balloons you'll bury your opponent in. Say you pop 25 balloons at once of one color. Your opponent will get buried in gray balloons in return.

Very clever way to throw people off, even people that knew Japanese games better than myself.

I just noticed RetroGameFan9000's edits in Datacrystal and found that one SFC game has now been translated into English to everybody's surprise! It's called "Rushing Beat", the first of a three-part brawler series. According to the lovely team behind the patch and HG101's retrospective it's said to be much better than the US SNES version 'Rival Turf!'. Note: Oh wait, HG101 recommends you to play the two Japanese sequels instead of the first iteration. The US localized versions of all three 'Rushing Beat' games had content cut out from the original Japanese sources. So there are two more sequels left presumedly for the same team to translate and hack on.

World of Longplays has got Longplay videos of both the Japanese and US versions (With different titles, mind. Check the Wiki.) of all three beat 'em up games. Be sure to read their short descriptions.
Added: Oh, man. super-fast video recorder ShiryuGL has uploaded a short video showing the start of the Japanese 'Rushing Beat' game as translated in English. It's got a nice story intro in there.

* Edit (08/10/2016): Hey, guess what? Gideon Zhi is apparently working on Granhistoria (Twitter copy). Cool! :ugeek:
Oh, and a second addition too... Oh man, another BIG JRPG from the SFC is soon being fully translated! Tom has finished his translation for the Far East of Eden Zero but is still waiting for bsnes/higan programmer byuu (wow!) to insert it all. byuu has told Tom that he wants to do other things first. So my view is that it just won't be finished for this year, poor SylarDean! Poor him!
*Addendum: It seems that byuu is unlikely ever to do anything on it according to other people's opinions - more likely to be another top romhacker like Tom's good friend Gemini (PSX romhacker, now learning SNES hacking), Nightcrawler or even a certain person from this forum :P!
Topic: Far East of Eden Zero translation is finished!

* EDIT (08/12/2016): DDS has also agreed to work on hacking the main Far East of Eden Zero game on Tom's behalf with some funny tweets:

https://twitter.com/DDSTrans/status/806409064473362433 (Dec 7, 2016. 8x8 font in main menu.)
- DDS agreeing to work with Tom in page 2 of a new thread (See page 1 for screenshots). But don't also forget DougRPG for his hard work in investigating the decompression and compression routines for the graphic work in this game at the bottom of page 2 there to the start of page 3.

* EDIT (18/10/2016): Oh, yes! Gideon is also working on patching up for a SFC RPG game called Laplace's Demons! As his project page reveals it is currently at 95% which in effect means that it is MUCH CLOSER to being released, even it could be by this year's end! Haha, hoorah! Good news for Sylar and all else!
https://twitter.com/GideonZhi/status/785982032912392192 (4:14 PM - 11 Oct 2016)

* EDIT (27/10/2016): Oh, yeah! I didn't check up on the Transcorp page much this month till now when I saw a small new post from the middle of October, 2016, his first in a little under 8 months since his last one! Nightcrawler says that his fourth translation project to be finished called 'Glory of Heracles IV' is fully playable! But he needs 1-2 extra people for bug and typo spotting. His extra requirements:
Quote:
We prefer someone with previous testing experience (and someone to vouch for them if possible). Being a TransCorp forum supporter and having experience playing the Glory of Heracles games are also pluses!

So that's two major new SFC projects that could possibly be finished by the end of this year! Hooray!

* EDIT (30/10/2016): Oh, wow. This month of October 2016 is proving to be a bonanza month, and so it shall be remembered, in terms of the SFC RPG translation projects being relatively announced and getting closer to completion whenever that may be! A romhacker by the name of Rai who is also working on a SRW game for the PS2 has also been making a decompressor and compressor for the graphics in Konami's Ganbare Goemon 3! He is close to sprucing up his VWF code for the game, beauty! And he will try to wind up the tools (The decompressor is far from finished at this time) for the text in-game, which will be helpful to a hopeful translator! My expectation is that at least all of his tools and VWF will be done by next year.
* EDIT (13/11/2016): This was already known if anyone had checked that Goemon 2 thread made by Avicalendriya at RHDN. But on the romhacker ddstranslation's Twitter he said that Avi didn't give him anything at all to do with the GG 2 SFC translation project. So ddstranslation is starting from scratch. He's got the proof - those are some truly gorgeous font with a 'handcrafted feel'! :)
- ADDENDUM (08/12/2016): Continuing the theme of the Goemon 2 hacking project. DDS, good news, has mentioned that Avi has come back to give DDS his files for that game, including the title screen!
https://twitter.com/DDSTrans/status/806693072436416512 (Dec 7, 2016. I only found this tweet 3 hours after he posted it!)
DDS was also of the opinion that the older font he presented in this game's hack wasn't very nice like so:
https://twitter.com/DDSTrans/status/798797503155965952
So now he's been replacing the old font with a new, more elegant font type. DDS has also posted several other tweets about this project as well as his cooperation with Tom on another SFC game called "Far East of Eden Zero" (See another edit above).
