Ok, I sent you a message via the Dynamic Designs system. I thought I should mention that in case you are trying to send me a PM via AOL or Yahoo or something. :)

I'm not sure what solution Ultpaladin came up with, but I'll stick around to help further if needed.

I eventually got the PM and I sent you an email too. I have to step out for a while so hopefully this will solve the problem.

Is it truly? well then, we hope you enjoy playing our patch as much as we enjoyed making it.
Thanks Ultpaladin for surgically striking at the issue and solving it.

Thanks everyone for the help so far! Still not quite there yet. What is this ufox? And where can I find it? Google led to nothing.

Sorry for the late reply but I guess someone finally helped you out :)

Anyway, you should have gone here:

http://ucon64.sourceforge.net/

ucon64 has builds for most OS's, you should have downloaded the binary for your OS.

u-Fox was also on that site, you just had to scroll down a bit until you saw the "ucon64GUI" heading, again it too is available for various OSes.

As for a patching utility, try these Mac OS based ones & see which would be best for you:

http://www.romhacking.net/utils/11/
http://www.romhacking.net/utils/15/
http://www.romhacking.net/utils/20/ ,- this one's for OS X per se.

Again sorry for the late reply :(

Thanks for your resourcefulness, CRV10.
It should prove invaluable for other mac users that eventually visit here.

@Red Soul: I'm very much glad to help out or at least share what I do know to others :)

I too started out just like any other person new to the emulation community & I want the new un initiated to be empowered enough so they can enjoy your hard work :) How else could they enjoy your creations if they do not learn how to patch ROMs themselves, especially seeing "most" ROMs sites do not update their retro title library to include pre patched ROMs so the un initiated would just download & play.

And on that note, I noticed that ROMs sites only ever carry pre patched ROMs from mid 2004 & below, no translation patches created near the end of 2004 & onwards were added pre patched to their existing libraries. Oh well :)
