Btw, could you make a small name change during your rewrites?
The country where the action takes place is Doutenfuku (rather than Doutenpuku), I confirmed with official sources.
This may be 99% my fault for spreading the wrong name with my FAQ, doh! I'll fix it in the next revision.
Fortunately the name doesn't come too often so it'd be easy to change.
Feel free to check in with any fixes. BTW, IKelley has written a review of CS in which he spells "Dousen" "Dosen". What's your take on that one?

Don't worry, WB, I'll fix them all after you've done your part.

No need to go back.
No need... to go... back...!?

Heh, I've already gone back 20 times in seven different files that jump all over creation! I just finished my second major rewrite of the battle systems segment of the Lecture Scenario. Literally, so far, I must have done twenty additional polishes and tweaks of that portion alone. I want everything to flow and sound perfect up to the first save point - with visually appealing formatting. I'm trying to fine tune an exact tone and choose every action word precisely so it consistently captures that special essence already built into the characters, not to mention matching the mood set by the music and the overall uniqueness of this story. On top of that, the game backdrop in CS is so "pretty", I want to ensure we hook the player with the story right from the get-go.

Once I have the style adjusted and internalized (inside my own head), everything will come together much faster. Like Daniel Day-Lewis, I'll sort of turn into that Dousen for the duration.

This is actually a quite common mistake in the Romanization of Hiragana. The character "u" in Hiragana also acts as a vowel doubler when it's placed after an "o" or "u". Therefore, Dousen/Dosen should actually be Dōsen. Most people are either lazy or can't use unicode letters in certain document formats so they just write down the "u" as is. You can see this mistake on most professionally translated mangas too. "Shounen", instead of "shōnen" (young males, usually from 8-18 years old) and "shoujo" instead of "shōjo" (young girls, usually from 8-18). As for CS, I would personally go with "Dousen", the "u" is left in most Romaji translations.

"Truly, if there is evil in this world, it lies within the heart of mankind."

It isn't a mistake really, just different ways to transliterate Japanese into English. -ō mimics the pronounciation while -ou follows the hiragana writting.

But yeah, Dosen/Dousen/Dohsen/Dōsen are all valid (all pronounced the same, with a long o). I chose Dousen and rolled with it, but Dosen may be simpler for the average user. Same with Senju/senjuu/etc, I don't really mind either.

I'm really happy right now using "Dousen" (It's been stuck in my head for the past year), but if you feel really strongly about changing it, then I bow to your expertise. You are, after all, the foremost expert on this game ;)

Dag, if you enjoy other styles of games, could we perchance interest you in assuming a translation role in Princess Minerva?

I'll have to decline that, sorry! My Japanese skills are still poor, plus I still have a huge backlog of games and not enough time anyway.
