A beginner at what? Do you still have an SNES console? Plug it up and play, man!

If you take the time to increase your Spirits, it makes the game easier. That's all I can think to suggest. Otherwise, just play!

Wow..I remember when I first bought this game. My friend left it in his locker in high school and some idiot stole the game. Never got to finish it. I do recall liking Lufia 1 & 2 a lot though. Those were stolen with it. Maybe I should play PQ just to say I beat it... Anyone have a save state to the end? :ugeek:

Its too bad the RPG shrine for this game is down/gone. I really don't have much advice to give, its been such a long time since I played. I don't believe the game was too hard although it certainly handles healing in a different way. My advice would be to judicious in your use of healing bottles, there may be a few times when your kind of tight on healing depending on how fast you go through the game. There is also a really nice weapon called the Gomatai that is a random drop that you can find more about on gamefaqs I'm sure.

Btw Did you get the original box and manual too?

Nope, it's just a loose cart. Found it in a bin with several dozen other SNES games at a local used game store. There were actually two copies of PQ, which I found kind of surprising! I picked it up with Skyblazer and Drakkhen.

I'd offer you a manual scan, but my SNES games are stored in a box with my Washington, D. C stash, and I'm at another location.

I'm not sure I'm going to need it. I've been using a faq to help me past the horribly truncated item names, but otherwise it's smooth sailing. The tip about maxing out spirit bars early on was a good one, so thanks for that.

After four hours or so I just hit Jurayn, I think it is? Rainy town. Chezni is level 20, Midia is 18. I've nearly maxed her starting skills, I think, and I HAVE maxed Chezni's fire and sphere skills.
